Marianas Outrigger Club’s men’s team was recognized for its outstanding showing in the Northern Marianas National Paddling Sports Federation Sprint Season.
Northern Marianas Sports Association, during its meeting early this month at the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium, named MOC the Team of the Month after ruling all two events in the paddling group’s competition. Maverick Itibus, Thomas Deleon Guerrero, Rich Salas, Billy Grow, Angel San Nicolas, Ketson “Jack” Kabiriel, Jose Quan, and Bobby Cruz raced for MOC in last month’s contest.
In the 500m event, MOC submitted 2:18.72 to finish way ahead of Saipan Paddling Club and Napu Outrigger Canoe Club, which logged 2:28.42 and 2:26.87, respectively.
