THE Northern Marianas National Paddle Sports Federation is inviting the public to the 24th Micronesia Cup, which will take place from Oct. 18 to 20 at the Crowne Plaza Resort beach.  The Micro Cup is a regional va’a outrigger race that is hosted alternately by Guam, Palau and Saipan.  This year, the teams from Guam, the CNMI, and the Marshall Islands will compete in the men’s, women’s, juniors and masters divisions.  There is no fee to watch the event. Pip takes on grueling Singapore Ocean Cup

Marianas Outrigger Club veteran paddler Pipit Ball took on the grueling Singapore Ocean Cup 2024—Singapore’s biggest annual ocean paddling championship race last Saturday. Ball was the solo paddler which guaranteed her first place in the women’s V1 Long Course single craft 14-km race and finished it in one piece with a time of 2:24:32.5 despite the choppy waters and inclement weather. Support Jason and Pipit’s bid in Hawaii for va’a champs

Marianas Outrigger Club veteran athletes Jason Tarkong and Pipit Ball are set to compete in the IVF Va’a World Elite and Club Sprint Championship 2024 in Hilo, Hawaii that will be held from Aug. 13 to 24. The NMI paddlers are heading to Hawaii next Tuesday, Aug. 13, to compete in the V1 men 500m and V1 500m women’s sprints and are calling upon the community for their help and support for their expenses. Marianas Outrigger Club Completes Epic Saipan-Tinian Channel Crossing

On May 4 and 5, the Marianas Outrigger Club (MOC) paddlers embarked on an inspiring team-building journey, successfully crossing the Saipan-Tinian Channel. This adventure also included a youth va’a paddling workshop at Unai Tachogna on Tinian. The Journey MOC members Ashley Pangelinan, Kika Halstead, and Tim Asaivao shared their experiences.
